On 16 March 2026, «Hirschfeld – The Unknown Known» by Stina Werenfels & Samir will be released in Swiss cinemas.
The outstanding reputation of the Schauspielhaus Zurich is based on artists exiled during the Nazi era, such as Bertolt Brecht and Therese Giehse. The theatre became a centre of cultural resistance against fascism in Europe. After the war, the theatre established itself with Frisch and Dürrenmatt and modern American authors. What has been forgotten is that this was all thanks to a German Jew: Kurt Hirschfeld.

→ to the filmDavid Bernet's «Solidarity» will be released in Swiss cinemas on 19 March 2026.
SOLIDARITY is a cinematic reflection on solidarity as a phenomenon. All solidarity has its limits and casts its shadows. Director David Bernet searches for these shadows and follows his protagonists, all of whom are professionals in solidarity, through the crises of recent years. From Belarus, Ukraine, Poland and Lebanon to the open clash of solidarities in Gaza.
Solidarity is not just a feeling, it is a decision. The many crises of the present teach us that the ideal of «global solidarity», on which the acceptance of human rights rests, must be reinvented.
