JUDITH LICHTNECKERT
Producer
Born in Basel to Hungarian parents, she combines different cultural perspectives in her work.
She studied English, Media Studies and Sociology at the University of Basel and graduated with a Multimedia Master's degree from the NSH Basel in 2001. At the same time, she was active as a bassist and ran Life-Span Promotion, a Europe-wide booking agency for indie rock tours.
From 2002 to 2012, she was a producer and partner at the Point de Vue production cooperative in Basel, specialising in documentary film, commissioned productions and audiovisual installations. In 2006, she entered the feature film sector via Dschoint Ventschr and has since worked as a freelance assistant director, production manager (a.o. 6 seasons of the SRF series «Der Bestatter») and from 2009 also as a freelance producer for numerous feature film and television formats.
She founded Emilia Productions GmbH in Zurich in 2013 and Perron X GmbH in Basel in 2020. From 2018 to 2022, she was a partner in Snakefilm GmbH. She made her directorial debut in 2016 with the documentary «Reset – Restart».
She is an EAVE and TAP alumni, a board member of the Swiss Film Producers Association (SFP) and Cinéconomie and is involved in the steering committee of the KI Allianz Kreativwirtschaft.
She is a member of the European Film Academy (EFA) and VeDRA (Association for Film and Television Drama).
